1965-1969 Berkeley CA- My cousins Dave and Steve Frye show me a few chords on their electric guitars. I get my first guitar at age 8, a nylon string acoustic for my birthday. I start taking piano lessons. My Aunt Patricia gives me the album “Are You Experienced?” by Jimi Hendrix.
1969-1971 Riverside CA- I start jamming Hendrix and Cream tunes withsome neighborhood buddies. My mom buys me my first professional quality guitar, a Fender Stratocaster. I play my my first gig, a junior high dance in the gym.
1971-1980 Buffalo NY- concerts, clubs and recording with rock groups Pegasus and Electroman. Classical guitar study with Micheal Andriaccio at State University of New York at Buffalo.
1980’s-2000’s San Diego CA- Private guitar study with Peter Sprague, and jazz harmony study with Hal Crook. Gigs with Ruby and the Red Hots, Reel to Real, The Soul Persuaders, Bill Shreeve, Innovation, Joe Marillo, Warren Weibe, Jesse Davis, Jason Weber, Amber Whitlock, Mark Lessman, Lori Bell, Tripp Sprague, Kamau Kenyatta, Steve Steinberg, Richard James, Danielle LoPresti, Gene Hartwell, Hot Pursuit, Justin Gray, Peggy Watson, Tommy Gannon, Pat Fitzpatrick, John Rekevics, Rick Steffans, Sebastion Winston, Robert Lanuza, Coral Thuet, Gail St. Gregory, Michael Leroy Peed, Janet Hammer, Kicks, Dave Blackburn & Robin Adler,Toby Ahrens, Pacific Brass and Electric, Lisa Winston, Tom Gates, Darci Daniels & Rob Whitlock.
Pit orchestra work at the Old Globe theatre for “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” (2005) and “The Full Monty” (2001) working with Harold Wheeler (Dancing with the Stars). More pit work at the Civic theatre with “The Full Monty” (2002) and at the Welk theatre for “Bye Bye Birdie” (2004) and “Evita” (2006).
